GENERAL INFORMATION
Passport and Visa
Participants have to possess a passport valid for at least 6 months after the end of the Conference. Please check your visa requirements at the web-site of the Portal of the Ministry of foreign affairs https://www.mfa.gov.rs/en/citizens/travel-serbia/visa-regime
Upon request the Congress Secretariat will send a personal invitation to Conference participants. This invitation, however, is meant only to help visitors to raise funds or to obtain a visa, and will not constitute a commitment to provide any financial support.
Credit Cards, Currency and Exchange
The official currency in Serbia is Dinar (RSD). Exchange facilities are offered at the airport, in hotels, exchange offices around city and at the exchange desks of banks.
Visa and Master Card are generally accepted at the ATMs, in hotels, restaurants and city stores, but you should ask or look for the logo before ordering a service.
Language
The official language of the conference is English.
Notice for Drivers (Zero Alcohol)
Drivers should be aware that there is a zero tolerance of blood alcohol level while driving in Serbia.
Tipping
It is customary to give a tip of 10% over the amount of the bill at restaurants (unless service charge is already included).
Time Zone
The time zone in Serbiais GMT + 1 hour. Daylight Saving Time is used until the end of October.
Electricity
Electricity is supplied at 230 V, 50 Hz. Round, European-style two-pin plugs are used, different from that used in some other countries, e.g. the USA, the UK and Japan. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120 Volts need a voltage converter and a plug adapter.
Shopping Hours
The usual shopping hours in Belgrade are from 10:00 to 20:00, in big shopping centres up to 22:00. For further information please contact the Registration Desk.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the conference building, restaurants and/or at the venues for the social functions. Smokers are required to smoke outdoors. Smoking is prohibited in public buildings, public transport, taxis, buses and trains.
Insurance
The Organizing Committee cannot assume responsibility for injuries or losses occurring to persons or personal belongings during the Conference. Participants are therefore advised to travel with a valid insurance package. In the case any Force Major circumstances may lead to the cancellation of the congress registered participants are not entitled to any compensation.
